The Jefferson County Planning Commission has RE-SCHEDULED two public hearings

NOTICE OF JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING CASEFILES 19-PA-01 AND 19-PA-02 The Jefferson County Planning Commission has RE-SCHEDULED two public hearings to take public testimony on proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance. 19-PA-01 includes zoning ordinance changes related to the City of Madras Transportation System Plan as it applies to the Urban Growth Area. 19-PA-02 language regards the allowance of Shipping Containers for storage, the elimination of Manufactured Home size limitations, and changes to tentative plan requirements for land partitions. The hearings will be held on February 28, 2019, at 5:30 pm in the Board of Commissioners meeting room located at 66 SE D Street, Madras, OR. A copy of all documents and evidence relating to this proposal and applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost at the Jefferson County Community Development Department. Copies will be provided at a reasonable cost. A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least seven days prior to the hearing, and will be provided at reasonable cost. Any written testimony should be submitted to the Community Development Department, 85 SE D Street, Madras, Oregon, 97741, or may be submitted at the public hearing. The failure to raise an issue by the close of the record at or following the final evidentiary hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
