NOTICE OF POTENTIAL ANNEXATION (Continued for Deliberations and Adoption of Ordinance and Findings) The City of Lake Oswego proposes to annex seven parcels and the adjacent public right-of-way located within the Urban Services Boundary of the City of Lake Oswego. The parcels and the public right-of-way are completely surrounded by land within the city limits and are located at the south side of Meadows Road and the northwest corner of Carman Drive and Bonita Road. The parcels and public right-of-way are located at: 5165 Carman Drive 21E07AB00701 5195 Bonita Road 21E07AB00705 5215 Bonita Road 21E07AB00708 5200 Meadows Road 21E07AB00706 4950 Meadow Avenue 21E07AB00800 4948 Meadow Avenue 21E07AB00801 Parcel with no Situs 21E07AB00700 Meadow Avenue Right-of-Way Between Meadows Road and Carman Drive The Lake Oswego City Council held a public hearing on March 5 and 19, 2019. On March 5, 2019 the Council made a tentative decision to annex the parcels and right-of-way. On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 6:30 pm, in the City Hall Council Chamber, 380 A Avenue, Lake Oswego, Oregon, the City Council will consider adoption of Ordinance 2812, including findings and conclusions (the final decision). Please note: The public testimony portion of the hearing is closed. No further testimony will be accepted. Annexations are adopted by ordinance. The title of the ordinance is: Ordinance 2812 An ordinance annexing to the City of Lake Oswego seven parcels and the adjacent Meadow Avenue public right-of-way consisting of 5.0 acres at 5165 Carman Drive, 5195 Bonita Road, 5215 Bonita Road, 5200 Meadows Road, 4950 Meadow Avenue, 4948 Meadow Avenue and one parcel with no situs address at 21E07AB00700, declaring City of Lake Oswego zoning and Resource Protection (RP) district pursuant to LOC 50.01.004.5(a-c); and removing the territory from certain districts (AN 18-0019). This proposal was initiated by the City of Lake Oswego as an island annexation where the territory is surrounded by land within the City boundaries. ORS 222.750 authorizes the city to annex island properties. The annexation will result in the addition of approximately 5.0 acres of territory to the City of Lake Oswego. For 5200 Meadows Road, the property and the adjacent Meadow Avenue public right-of-way will be zoned Campus Research and Development (CR&D) and for the remaining properties and the adjacent Meadow Avenue public right-of-way, the zoning of R-7.5, (7,500 square feet per unit) will be applied in accordance LOC 50.01.004.5. Permitted and conditional uses in the CR&D zone and the R-7.5 zone can be found in LOC 50.03.002. Copies of the application, all documents and evidence submitted by or on behalf of the applicant, the applicable criteria, map and proposed Ordinance 2812 are available for inspection at no cost.
