NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOREST GROVE PLANNING COMMISSION File Number 311-19-000002-PLNG NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Forest Grove Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. or thereafter, in the Community Auditorium, 1915 Main Street, to review the following request: –Amend Forest Grove Development Code Article 3 Zoning Districts, Article 5 Special Provisions, Article 7 Miscellaneous Provisions, Article 8 Development Standards and Article 12 Definitions to update the code pertaining to accessory dwelling units, housing types allowed in the town center and commercial zones, recreational vehicles, bed and breakfast inns, design standards in the Neighborhood Mixed Use zone, residential incentives, and the sign code. The Planning Commission will consider these proposals and base its recommendation on the following review criteria. Comments in response to this proposal must address specific review criteria: Development Code Text Amendments (DC 17.2.630) A. The text amendment is consistent with the relevant goals and policies of the Forest Grove Comprehensive Plan. B. The text amendment is consistent with the relevant statewide and regional planning goals, program and rules. At the time and place of the public hearing, all persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to give testimony about this proposal. If an issue is not raised in the hearing (by person or by letter) or if the issue is not explained in sufficient detail to allow the Planning Commission to respond to the issue, then that issue cannot be used as the basis for an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA). If additional documents or evidence are provided in support of an application, any party shall be entitled to a continuance of the hearing. Unless there is a continuance, if a participant so requests before the conclusion of the initial evidentiary hearing, the record shall remain open for at least seven (7) days after the hearing.
