PUBLIC NOTICE CITY COUNCIL VACANCY CITY OF MADRAS The City of Madras is currently accepting letters of interest for a vacancy on the Madras City Council. The individual that is selected for the position will be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending on December 31, 2020. Qualified candidates must be: — At least 18 years of age; — A registered voter; and — A resident of the City of Madras for a minimum of one year prior to the appointment. This is a volunteer position. The benefit of being on the City Council is the ability to make a difference in this community today and far into the future. Interested individuals should submit a Letter of Interest to Lysa Vattimo, City Recorder, at the Madras City Hall located at 125 SW E Street, Madras, Oregon 97741. This position will remain open until qualified candidates have gone through an interview process and are selected by the Council to fill the position.
