NOTICE OF LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL: Commercial Food Waste Code Amendment On Monday July 15, 2019, beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Wilsonville City Council will hold a public hearing regarding adoption of an amendment to Section 4.179 of Wilsonville’s Development Code Commercial Food Waste (Case File # LP19-0004). The City Council will consider whether to adopt the amendment. No additional mailed notice will be sent to you unless you either: — Submit testimony or sign in at the City Council hearing, or — Submit a request, in writing or by telephone, to the Planning Division or Assistant City Attorney Amanda Guile-Hinman. The hearings will take place at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop East, Wilsonville, Oregon. A complete copy of the relevant file information, including the staff report, findings, and recommendations, will be available for viewing seven days prior to each public hearing at Wilsonville City Hall, at the Wilsonville Public Library and on the City’s website. Summary of Proposal: Commercial Food waste Code Amendment The amendment may require commercial landlords to allow for food waste collection services for its commercial tenant(s). The proposed amendment to Section 4.179 aims to implement Metro’s mandatory commercial food scrap program. The amendment may require larger waste and recycling enclosures to ensure adequate space for food scrap containers. How to Comment Oral or written testimony may be presented at the public hearing. Written comment on the proposal to be submitted into the public hearing record is welcome prior to the public hearings.
