Public Notice: Planning Commission Public Hearing on August 14, 2019: Conditional Use – solar Photovoltaic Facility: Conditional Use – Forest(F1) Dwelling.

PUBLIC NOTICE CROOK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in the Crook County Meeting Room, 320 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon to consider the following: Conditional Use – Solar Photovoltaic Facility Ulupalakua Ranch, Inc. (owner) and Millican Solar Energy, LLC (applicant) – Record number 217-19-000267-PLNG – are requesting a conditional use permit to construct and operate the Millican Solar Farm, LLC, a photovoltaic (PV) solar power generation facility on up to 320 acres. Commercial energy facilities are allowed as conditional uses under Crook County Code 18.24.020 and Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS 215.283) and are subject to review under Crook County Code 18.160 (Conditional Uses) and 18.161 (Commercial Power Generating Facilities). The property is identified as Township 15 S, Range 15 E WM, tax lot 2100. Conditional Use, Forest (F1) Dwelling Lakin Springs Ranch, LLC (owner/applicant) – Record number 217-19-000190- PLNG – are requesting a conditional use permit to place a dwelling in the Forest (F1) zone. The proposed dwelling would be located on Crook County property identified as Township 13 S, Range 18 E WM, tax lot 202. The applicant is proposing using noncontiguous properties of Township 13 S, Range 18 E WM, tax lot 202 and Township 11 S, Range 19 E WM, and portion of tax lot 540 (a legal lot of record in the adjoining county of Jefferson) to qualify for a large tract dwelling. Crook County Code Chapter 18.28 establishes requirements for Forest Dwellings. A notice of public hearing and location maps are being mailed to all affected property owners, and to the appropriate entities and public agencies at least 21 days prior to the Crook County Planning Commission making a decision on this request. Statements will be heard at the hearing. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code 18.172. Written testimony may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department, 300 NE 3rd Street, Room 12, Prineville, Oregon 97754, prior to 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2019, or at the hearing.
