PUBLIC NOTICE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the City of Fairview Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review proposed Development Code amendments at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in the Council Chambers of the Fairview City Hall, located at 1300 NE Village Street, Fairview, Oregon. Interested persons are invited to appear and testify on the proposal. Application #2019-46-TA and Ordinance 9-2019: Text amendments to the Fairview Municipal Code (FMC) Sections 19.13, Definitions, and 19.70 Corridor Commercial (CC) District to Clarify Code Definitions and Development Requirements for Residential/Commercial Mixed-Use Development and Provide Clear and Objective Site Design Requirements in the Corridor Commercial District. The amendments will apply to new development within Fairview’s Corridor Commercial zone, located along NE Sandy Blvd. The application is subject to the Type IV legislative process in accordance with FMC 19.413.040, and criteria in FMC 19.205 as well as the rules of procedure adopted by the Council. The Planning Commission will review the above application and make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation at a first reading tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 6 and a public hearing tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, November 20. The City Council may make a final decision regarding the above application at the public hearing on November 20, 2019. If City Council renders a decision, it will be mailed to anyone who submitted written comments, provided public testimony, or who is otherwise legally entitled to notice.
