NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.45.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: PTF2019-0001 / SDM2019-0002 / TP2019-0002 SW Walker Road Improvements (SW 173rd to SW 185th) Washington County is seeking approval of a Public Transportation Facility, a Tree Plan Two, and a Sidewalk Design Modification application for a project to improve SW Walker Road from SW 173rd Avenue to SW 185th Avenue. The applicant proposes to widen the road to provide two travel lanes in each direction, along with center turn lanes as needed. The project will also install buffered bike lanes, planter areas, and sidewalks. Some trees will be removed as part of the proposed road improvement. The project area covers SW Walker Road between SW 173rd Avenue to SW 185th Avenue. To be addressed in the staff report and decision, written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Failure to raise an issue or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the City of Beaverton Planning Division, 4th Floor, Beaverton City Hall, 12725 SW Millikan Way. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Director. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in Development Code Sections 40.03.2 Facilities Review, Section Public Transportation Facility, Section 40.58.15.C Sidewalk Design Modification, and Section Tree Plan Two. Pursuant to Section 50.40.10, on or around October 23, 2019 the Director shall issue a written decision on the application to the applicant, the property owner, and interested parties that submitted written comments prior to or on the comment closing date. Copies of the decision will be made available on the City’s website or may be purchased at the Planning Division Counter or a reasonable cost. Copies of documents and evidence submitted by or on behalf of the applicant, applicable review criteria and the staff report, are available for inspection at the City of Beaverton Planning Division, 4th Floor, City Hall, 12725 SW Millikan Way, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
