PUBLIC NOTICE CROOK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in the Crook County Meeting Room, 320 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon to consider the following: Text Amendment – Accessory Dwelling Units in Residential Zones within the City of Prineville’s Urban Growth Boundary Crook County (applicant) – Record number 217-19-000646-PLNG – is requesting a Text Amendment to amend Crook County Code Title 18, Zoning; Chapter 18.08 (Definitions); Chapter 18.48 (Suburban Residential Zone); Chapter 18.52 (Suburban Residential Mobile Zone); Chapter 18.88 (Rural Residential (5) Zone) and Chapter 18.124 (Supplementary Provisions). The purpose of the proposed Text Amendment is to ensure that Crook County Zoning Code is consistent with changes made by Senate Bill 1051 (2017) as amended by House Bill 4031 (2018) requiring counties with populations greater than 15,000 to allow development of at least one accessory dwelling unit for each single family dwelling in areas zoned for single family dwellings within an urban growth boundary. Crook County (applicant) – Record number 217-19-000673-PLNG – is requesting a Text Amendment to amend Crook County Code Title 18, Zoning; Chapter 18.172 (Manufactured Dwellings) and Chapter 18.124 (Supplementary Provisions). The purpose of the proposed Text Amendment is to include within the Crook County Zoning Code single-wide manufactured homes where manufactured homes are allowed and aligning with state code regarding temporary hardship regulations. Statements will be heard at the hearing. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code 18.172. Copies of the staff report and draft text amendment language will be available at the Crook County Community Development Department at least one week in advance of the October 23, 2019 public hearing. Written testimony may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department, 300 NE 3rd Street, Room 12, Prineville, Oregon 97754, prior to 4:00 p.m. October 16, 2019, or at the hearing.
