NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.45.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following application is being provided: SUNSHINE PANTRY- CU2019-0007/DR2019-0172 The applicant, Sunshine Pantry, requests Minor Modification of a Conditional Use approval to operate an emergency food pantry within the Beaverton Christian Church. Additionally, the applicant requests a Design Review Compliance Letter to screen two proposed mechanical units with additional landscaping. The site is zoned R2 Residential Urban Medium Density. The site is located at 13600 SW Allen Boulevard, specifically on Tax Lot 600 of Washington County Assessor’s Map 1S121BA. The project site is located within the Highland Neighborhood Association Committee boundary. Pursuant to Beaverton’s Development Code, any decision on the above development proposal shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in the following sections of Development Code of the Beaverton: 40.03 Facilities Review Committee, 40.15.15.1 Minor Modification of a Conditional Use and 40.20.15.1 Design Review Compliance Letter. Written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020, in order to be addressed in the staff report. Failure to raise an issue or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Current Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Planning Division, 4th Floor, the Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. The Facilities Review Committee is not a decision-making body but advises the Director on a project’s conformity to the technical criteria specified in Section 40.03 of the Beaverton Development Code. The Director will include the Committee’s recommendation and findings in the Notice of Decision that is issued following the meeting. The Facilities Review Committee meeting is open to the public, but is not intended for public testimony. The Director is the decision-making authority for the above application and shall issue a written decision on the above development proposal on or around Wednesday, March 11, 2020, pursuant to Section 50.40.10.
