NOTICE OF HEARING Canby Utility to hold hearing to consider Water Service Base and Consumption Tier Charge Increases. Canby Utility’s board of directors will hold a public rate hearing at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, at Canby Utility’s 1265 SE 3rd Avenue conference room to consider increasing overall water revenues 9.53 percent beginning November 1. The increase is needed to fund general operating expenses and to provide funds for future water master plan projects. The Board plans to adjust the water service base and consumption tier charges for all customer classes. Canby Utility has 5,383 water customers. Public testimony is welcome. Written comments will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. October 13, at the Canby Utility office (please ring bell in entry way) or by fax at 503-263-8621.
