NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Public Hearings will be held before the Cornelius Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 7:00 PM and the Cornelius City Council on Monday December 4, 2020 at 7:00 PM, both via virtual online meetings (meeting information to be posted on the City of Cornelius website at www.ci.cornelius.or.us), to consider the following: Request: An Ordinance amending the following Chapters of the Cornelius Municipal Code for language, policy, and implementation revisions: 5.35 (Mobile Vendors), 9.10 (General Offenses), 9.20 (Noise Regulations), 12.35 (Public Improvement Completion Requirements), 12.50 (Parks and Recreation), 17.05 (Land Divisions), 18.15 (Review Procedures), 18.20 (Single Family Residential Zone [R-7]), 18.35 (Multi-Family Residential Zone [A-2]), 18.45 (Highway Commercial Zone [C-2]), 18.54 (Light Industrial Zone [LI]), 18.55 (General Industrial Zone [M-1]), 18.100 (Site Design Review), 18.105 (Conditional Use Permit), 18.120 (Temporary Use Permits), 18.130 (Comprehensive Plan), 18.143 (Transportation Facilities), 18.147 (Street Vacations), 18.150 (Special Use Regulations), 18.175 (Signs), 18.190 (General Reference Information), and 18.195 (Definitions). Applicant: City of Cornelius. Applicable Review Criteria: Chapter 18.125 (Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance). At the time and place listed above all persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to give testimony either for or against the proposal. Testimony may be either in oral or written form and must be relevant to the criteria listed above on which the proposal will be evaluated. At the public hearings, the Planning Commission Chair or Mayor, respectively, will open the public hearing, a staff report will be presented, interested persons will be allowed to speak for or against the proposal or to ask questions, Commissioners or Councilors may ask any general questions, and the public hearing will be closed. In order for an issue to be considered for appeal, it must be raised before the close of the record of the public hearing. Such issues must be raised with sufficient specificity so as to afford the hearing body and the parties an adequate opportunity to respond to each issue. If there is no continuance granted at the hearing, any participant in the hearing may request that the record remain open for at least seven days after the hearing. A copy of the application, all documents, and evidence relied upon by the applicant and applicable criteria are available for review at the Community Development Department, 1300 S. Kodiak Circle, Cornelius during regular business hours, at least seven days prior to the scheduled public hearings. Copies may also be purchased at a reasonable cost of 25 cents per page.
