NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 23, 2020, 6:30 p.m. The Commission will consider LU 20-0040, a request from the City of Lake Oswego amending Chapter 50 (Community Development Code) of the Lake Oswego Code for the purpose of Exempting Outdoor Dining Shelters from Design Review and Extending the Period Allowed for Temporary Shelters for Certain Commercial Uses During COVID-19 Restrictions. The proposed amendments to the Community Development Code would exempt awnings and canopies over outdoor dining areas from design review during COVID-19 (LOC 50.07.003.12.a), and replace the 14-day restriction on temporary shelters with a longer timeframe for certain commercial uses during COVID-19 (LOC 50.03.005.4). Building and fire and life safety code requirements will continue to apply. Due to COVID-19 and Executive Orders issued by Governor Brown, city facilities are currently closed to the public. This meeting will be conducted virtually using Zoom. All members of the Planning Commission are attending remotely and the City has made avenues available for the public to livestream this meeting. The meeting is available to the public on the City’s YouTube Channel on the City’s website, or on Tualatin Valley Community Television. Please contact Iris McCaleb at imccaleb@lakeoswego.city for information on how to provide testimony remotely. A copy of the proposed amendments will be available November 13th on file in the Planning & Building Services Department at City Hall and can also be obtained by visiting the City’s website at: https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/all-projects (Search for LU 20-0040) Since the time allowed for public testimony is limited, you are urged to review the record and be thoroughly familiar with it if you plan to testify.
