NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 23, 2020, 6:30 p.m. The Commission will consider LU 20-0040, a request from the City of Lake Oswego amending Chapter 50 (Community Development Code) of the Lake Oswego Code for the purpose of Exempting Outdoor Dining Shelters from Design Review and Extending the Period Allowed for Temporary Shelters for Certain Commercial Uses During COVID-19 Restrictions. The proposed amendments to the Community Development Code would exempt awnings and canopies over outdoor dining areas from design review during COVID-19 (LOC, and replace the 14-day restriction on temporary shelters with a longer timeframe for certain commercial uses during COVID-19 (LOC Building and fire and life safety code requirements will continue to apply. Due to COVID-19 and Executive Orders issued by Governor Brown, city facilities are currently closed to the public. This meeting will be conducted virtually using Zoom. All members of the Planning Commission are attending remotely and the City has made avenues available for the public to livestream this meeting. The meeting is available to the public on the City’s YouTube Channel on the City’s website, or on Tualatin Valley Community Television. Recommendation: Final recommendations of the Planning Commission shall be forwarded to the City Council. A final decision on these proposals will be made by the City Council.
