NOTICE OF JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING CASEFILES 20-PA-02 The Jefferson County Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing to review 20-PA-02 a legislative amendment to the City of Metolius Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) in Jefferson County. The 20-PA-02 request is being reviewed by Planning Commission which will make a recommendation to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners about the request. The UGB expansion is seeking to bring the City owned City of Metolius wastewater treatment facility land within the City of Metolius UGB and change the County Comprehensive Plan designation of Exclusive Farm Use to City of Metolius Comprehensive Plan designation of Open Space/Public Facilities. The property identified for inclusion in the Metolius UGB is identified as T11, R13, S21, Tax Lot 700 (35.1 acres) and T11, R13, S22, Tax Lot 1300 (32.14 acres). The hearing will be held on January 14, 2021, at 5:30 pm in the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners meeting room located at 66 SE D Street, Madras, OR. A copy of all documents and evidence relating to this proposal and applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost at the Jefferson County Community Development Department. Copies will be provided at a reasonable cost. A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least seven days prior to the hearing and will be provided at reasonable cost. Any written testimony should be submitted to the Community Development Department, 85 SE D Street, Madras, Oregon, 97741, or may be submitted at the public hearing. The failure to raise an issue by the close of the record at or following the final evidentiary hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision-maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
