CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Hillsboro Washington County Post on April 9, 2021 CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ADOPTION OF 2021 WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the City of Hillsboro Utilities Commission at 1:30 pm, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, via Zoom Teleconference. For meeting details: — Call: 503-615-6703 — Email: Water-Department@Hillsboro-Oregon.gov — Visit: https://hillsboro-oregon.civicweb.net/portal/members.aspx?id=23 At the hearing, the Utilities Commission will receive feedback and take action on the proposed 2.65% Water System Development Charges (SDC) adjustment for 2021, and the following recommendations: — Change the date for calculating the inflation index from December to November. — Change the effective date for future Water SDC proposals to July 1. — Add a minimum Water SDC for meters larger than 2 inches. — Permanently implement the Residential Fire Sprinkler SDC Pilot Program. If approved by the Commission, the new 2021 Water SDCs and recommendations will go into effect on August 1, 2021. The staff report – with detailed information on the proposed 2021 Water SDCs and recommendations – will be available beginning at 8 am on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Hillsboro-Oregon.gov/WaterSDC. All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing, and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed Water SDCs. Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: proponents and opponents. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues. Members of the public are encouraged to register to provide testimony at the Public Hearing: — During the Utilities Commission Meeting: Provide your name and phone number, or Zoom name, to the Commission Recorder before the Chair closes the Public Comment section of the agenda during the meeting. — In advance of the Public Hearing: Email Water-Department@Hillsboro-Oregon.gov or call 503-615-6703. The Commission Recorder will watch for registration emails and voice messages until the Public Comment section has ended.
