EUGENE WATER & ELECTRIC BOARD SHASTA 975 STORAGE TANKS Bids due: April 12, 2023 @ 2:00 pm INVITATION TO BID ITB 23-049-PW The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) requests bids for the construction of two 0.5 million-gallon (MG) glass-fused-to-steel water storage tanks at EWEB’s Shasta 975 Storage Tank Site. The project also requires site preparation, yard piping, and sediment and erosion control. Bidders shall meet Minimum Contractor and Specialty Subcontractor Qualifications as defined in the bid packages. In summary, these Minimum Qualifications include: — General Contractor: The general contractor shall have successfully managed/completed at least two (2) similar projects in the last five (5) years. Each project shall have included the following: potable water steel water tanks or concrete water tanks; yard and storm drain piping; and earthwork including site grading. — Steel Tank Contractor/Subcontractor: Constructed at least two (2) glass fused to steel bolted tanks of similar size in the last 5 years with at least one tank in service for potable /raw water and operating properly; and at least one (1) tank presently in potable water service with a clear-span aluminum dome, which the General Contractor or Subcontractor has installed and had satisfactory service for not less than five (5) years. Bidders shall comply with all BOLI and CCB requirements, as outlined in www.oregon.gov/BOLI and http://www.oregon.gov/ccb/Pages/index.aspx. Bid Submission Deadline: Sealed bids shall be submitted to Wendy Lopez, Purchasing Analyst, before 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 and delivered according to the bid submission instructions contained in the bid solicitation document. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter and recorded. First-tier subcontractor list (Section 00430) shall be submitted, preferably in a separate envelope by 4:00 PM PST, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Bids and required subcontractor’s list received after their respective deadlines will NOT be considered. No faxed bids will be accepted. A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., on March 22, 2023, at the job site near 3689 N Shasta Loop, Eugene, Oregon. Parking is available on North Shasta Loop. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend, but bids will be accepted from bidders who do not attend. By submission of a bid, the bidder agrees to comply with the provisions of 279C.800 through 279C.870 relating to the latest version of State of Oregon’s BOLI Prevailing Wage Rates.
