PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Crook County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at 4:00 p.m. April 26, 2023 in the Crook County Meeting Room, 320 NE Court Street, Prineville, Oregon, to consider the following: Record Number: 217-23-000252-PLNG, a hearing before the Crook County Planning Commission for a comprehensive plan amendment, initiated by the County Court through Ordinance 337; the properties are identified as map/tax lots: 1515170000100, 1515170000106, 1515170000109, & 1515170000110. Proposed Ordinance No. 337 is an ordinance amending the Crook County zoning map and comprehensive plan to remove certain property from the destination resort overlay zone (eligibility map). If a property or properties are removed from the overlay zone, destination resort uses as described in Statewide Planning Goal 8, ORS 197, Oregon Administrative Rule 660, and Crook County Code Title 18, will be prohibited on those properties. The hearing is subject to review under Crook County Code, Title 18, Crook County Comprehensive Plan, Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes. A notice of public hearing and location maps are being mailed to all affected property owners, and to the appropriate entities and public agencies at least 10 days prior to the County Court hearing. The hearing is being held pursuant to Crook County Code 18.172. Written testimony may be submitted to the Crook County Community Development Department, 300 NE 3rd Street, Prineville, Oregon 97754, prior to 4:00 p.m. on April 19, 2023 or by email (plan@co.crook.or.us) or submitted at the hearing. The application, copies of submitted materials, and testimony are available by calling the planning department at 541-447-3211 or emailing us at Plan@co.crook.or.us. Documents are also available on the Planning Commission website at no cost: https://co.crook.or.us/planning-commission. Hard copies may be provided as well in accordance with the planning departments fee schedule. A copy of the staff report will also be available at the above link seven (7) days prior to the hearing at no cost, with hard copies available as well in accordance with the planning departments fee schedule.
