CITY OF SALEM, OREGON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT MCGILCHRIST STREET SE AT 22ND STREET SE (SALEM) Bids due: May 23, 2023 @ 2:30 pm INVITATION TO BID The Contracts and Procurement Manager of the City of Salem will receive bids electronically through Equity Hub’s Bid Locker until but not after 2:30 p.m., (Local Time) Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read virtually using Zoom, for the project specified herein. The Zoom call-in information will be posted on OregonBuys at least 3 days prior to bid opening date and time. WORK DESCRIPTION: This project will include approximately 1,100 feet of full street reconstruction for McGilchrist Street SE and associated tapers. Approximately 850 feet of full street reconstruction/realignment for 22nd Street SE, and one new signalized intersection where the realigned 22nd Street SE will cross McGilchrist Street SE. The McGilchrist Street SE improvements also necessitate the need to replace the existing culvert at the East Fork of Pringle Creek. The new McGilchrist Street SE section will include modifications to provide pedestrian and bike facilities from one end of the project to the other. The pedestrian and bicycle facilities will eventually connect from 12th Street SE to 25th Street SE with future phases. The realigned 22nd Street SE section will also include accommodations for pedestrians. PREQUALIFICATION: Bidders are required to be prequalified by ODOT for the following work classifications: — AB – Aggregate Base — ACP – Asphalt Concrete Paving and Oiling — EART – Earthwork and Drainage — ELEC – Electrical — LS – Landscaping — PAVE – Pavement Markings — PCP – Portland Cement Concrete Paving — REIN – Bridges and Structures — SIGN – Signing (Permanent) — TTC – Temporary Traffic Control Applications for Prequalification shall be submitted to ODOT no later than 10 days prior to the bid closing/opening date.
