Looking for a Few Good Number Crunchers

Looking for a Few Good Number Crunchers

The city has re-opened its search for Audit Committee members. The City of Tigard is looking for volunteers to fill one regular vacancy and one alternate position on the Audit Committee. Citizens with financial or local government experience are encouraged to apply.

The Audit Committee is an advisory committee to the City Council that provides oversight and coordination to the external audit for the city. At the conclusion of the audit, one committee member along with city management and the external auditors present the results of the audit to the City Council.

Committee members are asked to serve a two-year term and are not paid for their time. The committee meets two times a year, usually for an hour or so that are held in August and in November.

To apply for the audit openings, please complete a Citizen Committee Interest Application form and return it to Tigard City Hall by 5 p.m. on May 12, 2016.

Interviews will be held the evening of May 23 at City Hall. Application forms can be found at www.tigard-or.gov/community/volunteer.php or in the Tigard City Hall lobby at 13125 SW Hall Blvd.
