NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Happy Valley City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the annexation of territory pursuant to Section 16.67.070 of the City’s Municipal Code in the City Hall Council Chambers, 16000 SE Misty Drive, Happy Valley, Oregon on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.
The subject annexation request includes nine tax lots totaling approximately 14.45 acres. The affected area includes the following properties as listed by Clackamas County Assessor Map Number:
12E34DA 02200, 12E34DD 02200, 13E30D 00400, 13E30D 01000, 13E30D 01001,
22E12BA 01206, 22E12BB 02600, 23E06A 00300, and 23E06A 00501.
The affected area also includes an approximately sixty-foot wide section of right-of-way, extending approximately 220 feet from the current City of Happy Valley boundary at 152nd Drive and Bradford Road north, to the southeastern corner of Clackamas County Assessor Map Number 22E12BA 01206; and an approximately forty-foot wide section of right-of-way, extending from the current City of Happy Valley boundary at the northwest corner of Clackamas County Assessor Map Number 12E34DA03300, approximately 205 feet west to the intersection of 117th Avenue and Southern Lites Drive and further extending approximately 200 feet north to the northwestern corner of Clackamas County Assessor Map Number 12E34DA 02200
The City Council intends to decide on the application for annexation of the above property at the public hearing. The Council may approve or deny an application for annexation in accordance with the applicable criteria of the City of Happy Valley Comprehensive Plan, and Section 16.67.070 of the City of Happy Valley Municipal Code, METRO code 3.09, and ORS 222.111, 222.125 and 222.170.
The decision will be made in accordance with the said criteria, and may be appealed to the Land Use Board of Appeals.
